Milwaukee County election officials point voters to absentee and drop-box resources ahead of Aug. 11 primary

Milwaukee County election officials are directing voters to in-person absentee-voting and drop-box information ahead of Wisconsin’s Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2026, partisan primary.

The Milwaukee County Election Commission’s election page lists the primary date and provides links for fall-primary candidates, nomination papers, drop boxes and in-person absentee voting. The county identifies the Election Commission and Milwaukee County Clerk as local election authorities.

The Aug. 11 contest is a statewide partisan primary, with Milwaukee County administering its local election functions. It is not a Milwaukee-only election.

Election Day hours listed

For voters who cast ballots on Election Day, the county lists polling-place hours of 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. The county’s election page separately directs voters to information on in-person absentee voting and drop-box locations before Election Day.

The published materials provide access to candidate and nomination-paper resources as well as voting procedures, but they do not provide a current Milwaukee-specific early-voting turnout total.
