Honolulu’s two voter service centers opened July 27 ahead of Hawaiʻi’s August 8, 2026 primary, offering accessible voting, in-person voting and same-day registration.
The City and County of Honolulu locations are part of a state election system that conducts elections by mail. The centers provide an in-person option for voters seeking the services available at those sites before and on Primary Election Day.
Where to go and when
The voter service center at Honolulu Hale is located at 530 South King Street. The Kapolei Hale voter service center is at 1000 Uluohia Street.
Both locations are open Monday through Saturday from July 27 through August 7, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
On Primary Election Day, Saturday, August 8, both centers will be open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Services offered at the centers
The centers offer accessible voting, in-person voting and same-day registration. That makes the sites available to Honolulu voters who need accessible or in-person voting services, as well as those who need to register on the day they visit a center.
Hawaiʻi’s elections are conducted by mail, so the voter service centers are an additional option rather than a requirement for every voter to cast a ballot in person.
August 8 deadline
The primary election is scheduled for August 8, 2026. Ballots must be received by 7 p.m. that day.
